Senior Accountant

About the role

Join Stryker’s Finance team as a Senior Accountant, supporting accurate financial reporting and general accounting processes within an international environment. You will provide technical accounting expertise, review key accounting activities, and help maintain compliance with policies and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert for general accounting processes, guiding team members and handling accounting queries.
• Perform and review complex accounting activities, including month‑end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed assets, cash accounting, financial reporting, and financial statement analysis.
• Coordinate month‑end closing activities and other key deliverables in collaboration with supervisors or lead analysts.
• Execute Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) controls and support internal and external audit requirements.
• Partner with local accounting teams to investigate and resolve discrepancies, escalating when necessary.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in finance or general accounting.
• English proficiency at B2 level.
• Experience in a shared services or large multinational environment is preferred.

Required skills

• Intermediate Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, macros, charts, formulas).
• Working knowledge of US GAAP.
• Familiarity with Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) requirements.
• Experience using SAP.
