Senior Accountant

About the role

DHL is looking for a Senior Accountant to join its Heredia, Costa Rica team. You will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial statements in line with IFRS and DHL corporate policies, supporting the regional finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and report financial statements according to IFRS and Deutsche Post DHL guidelines.
• Perform balance‑sheet account reconciliations and ensure sub‑ledger alignment.
• Post and review manual journal entries following internal policies.
• Manage fixed‑asset registration, depreciation and control.
• Oversee inter‑company transactions and reconciliations.
• Deliver required financial and management reports within agreed deadlines.
• Support off‑shored accounting activities and meet SLA targets.
• Assist in the planning and budgeting cycle, providing accurate data.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with internal GL guidelines.

Required profile

• Degree or Advanced Diploma in Accounting.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Record‑to‑Report (R2R) processes.
• Experience with fixed‑asset and duties processes is preferred.
