Senior Accountant, Global Accounting Inventory

About the role

Pfizer is looking for a Senior Accountant within its Global Accounting Inventory function. The role ensures that the financial operations supporting the company's products stay efficient and effective, so that products remain in production and the work of its innovators continues. The position is based in a hybrid setting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and process financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Contribute to moderately complex projects, managing your own time to meet targets.
• Mentor and review the work of colleagues, using your judgment to modify methods and techniques.

Required profile

• High school diploma (or equivalent) with 8+ years of experience, or an associate's degree with 6+ years, or a BA/BS with 2+ years, or an MBA/MS with any years of relevant experience.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in financial transaction processing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with financial software and systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Preferred: experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, advanced knowledge of financial regulations and compliance, project management skills, experience with SAP or similar ERP systems, and familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot.
