Sales & Customer Service Manager

About the role

DHL Express is seeking a Manager, Sales & Customer Service to lead direct sales initiatives and enhance customer relationships in Costa Rica. You will drive revenue growth by maximizing excess capacity on the DHL air network, increasing quotation conversions, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple key customer accounts, aiming for at least 50% face‑to‑face visits per account.
• Maintain and grow existing revenue streams while identifying win‑win opportunities with agents.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management and Quotation teams to set tariffs, provide timely spot‑rate quotations, and negotiate contract rates.
• Gather live shipment information and volume opportunities from customers to secure contract rates.
• Develop new business leads, identify decision makers, and follow up on sales opportunities.
• Use DHL ACS market data tools to spot sales opportunities and keep the customer database up to date.
• Interpret DHL network schedules, aircraft and ULD types, and manage flexible capacity allocations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales and customer service within logistics or transportation.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with market data.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship‑building capabilities.
• Ability to travel frequently for customer visits.
