Remote Rust Developer for Decentralized Governance

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Rust Developer to join BairesDev’s remote team and work on the Network Nervous System (NNS) that powers the Internet Computer. The role focuses on building secure, decentralized governance components and enabling autonomous applications on a large‑scale distributed platform.

Key responsibilities

• Implement secure, decentralized governance mechanisms for the Internet Computer.
• Collaborate with research and development teams to design and integrate governance modules.
• Develop cryptographic proofs that validate system security.
• Contribute to the token system that underlies the platform’s economy.
• Design efficient API endpoints and embed intelligent decision‑making logic for node management and DDoS mitigation.
• Build infrastructure that allows autonomous programs to run as decentralized applications with token‑based governance.

Required profile

• Strong working knowledge of Rust.
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven experience building and operating large‑scale distributed systems.
• Familiarity with cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies (preferred).
