Record to Report Specialist II – NA

About the role

The Record to Report Specialist II supports Emerson's shared services finance function by managing general ledger activities across North America. You will ensure accurate journal processing, balance‑sheet reconciliations and timely financial reporting while driving continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post manual journal entries, monthly and quarterly accruals.
• Execute balance‑sheet reconciliations and resolve accounting open items.
• Meet service‑level‑agreement targets for deliverables.
• Support internal and external audits and provide required documentation.
• Identify and propose process‑improvement opportunities using Lean Six Sigma methods.
• Develop analyses and reports requested by business units.

Required profile

• Advanced university student or graduate in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• More than 2 years of experience in general accounting, preferably in a shared‑services environment.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and standard accounting policies.
• Intermediate English proficiency (B2) or higher.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
• Knowledge of Hyperion, HFM or similar financial reporting and consolidation tools (preferred).
• Hands‑on experience with Lean Six Sigma, continuous‑improvement projects and project‑management tools.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and related certifications (Yellow/Green Belt, PMP, Scrum Master) is a plus.
