About the role
The Product Complaint Investigator II conducts investigations of product complaints, ensuring outcomes meet regulatory and corporate standards. This temporary, one‑year position offers a hybrid work environment with both on‑site and remote activities, supporting cross‑functional collaboration and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Perform product complaint investigations, including decontamination, analysis, testing, and technical documentation.
- Investigate multiple product lines, handling moderate to high‑complexity items.
- Prepare SEFs with guidance from senior engineering staff.
- Conduct product analysis using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and digital multimeters, comparing results to specifications.
- Support simple new product development (NPD) activities through complaint retain analysis and data collection.
- Maintain compliance with quality systems, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute technical feedback to update work instructions and SOPs.
- Participate in cross‑functional meetings and appropriately escalate out‑of‑spec findings.
- Assist continuous‑improvement initiatives and mentor junior technicians.
- Manage laboratory tasks, including supply tracking and equipment ownership.
Required profile
- Technical degree in Quality, Electrical Engineering, Customer Service, or a related field.
- English proficiency level of 70‑79%.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in complaint investigations within regulated environments.
- Expanded functional knowledge of complaint investigations and moderate problem‑solving capability.
- Strong technical writing and documentation abilities.
- Effective collaboration with cross‑functional partners.
- Demonstrated ownership of compliance with quality systems and regulatory requirements.
- Commitment to complete all assigned training within required timelines.
Required skills
- Use of calipers for dimensional measurement.
- Use of micrometers for precise thickness measurement.
- Use of digital multimeters (DMMs) for electrical testing.
