Procurement Program Manager (EMCM)

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is hiring a Procurement Program Manager (EMCM) for a standard office schedule, Monday to Friday. The role defines the structure and content of procurement programs, manages several projects at once and coordinates global, cross-functional teams to deliver value.

Key responsibilities

• Define deliverable structures and content, and agree proposed solutions with functional, business unit and site leadership, site operations and other partners
• Manage multiple projects, keeping them on schedule, within budget and achieving their objectives
• Implement communication plans, present key initiatives and give updates on projects, pipelines and AOP financial targets
• Monitor risks, confidentiality commitments and clearances, and identify value and business cases through financial and options analysis
• Coordinate data inputs and reporting, and work with Procurement Enablement to drive a single source of truth for the savings pipeline and inflation
• Run regular PMO sessions, maintain document repositories and version control, and use PPI business systems to drive continuous improvement
• Lead global, cross-functional, geographically distributed teams and influence key partners to meet deliverables on time

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering or Science; MBA desirable
• Certification in Project Management desirable; CIPS/APICS or equivalent preferred
• Seven plus years managing complex, global programs and project initiatives, preferably in Procurement, Supply Chain, Sourcing or Category Management
• Preferred: Life Sciences, BioTech or Pharma background, and process improvement experience (PPI, Lean, Six Sigma)
• Able to travel 10-30% per year

• Project management: Gantt charts, dashboards, business case and baseline development
• MS Office, especially MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills, and ability to work independently and in matrix teams
