Preschool Teacher Assistant

About the role

The Preschool Teacher Assistant supports the lead teacher in providing a comprehensive, bilingual (Spanish‑English) learning environment for pre‑school children. The role focuses on fostering cognitive, social, and emotional development while ensuring safety, inclusivity, and an engaging classroom atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and delivering bilingual educational activities.
• Reinforce instructions and concepts in both Spanish and English.
• Prepare and organize bilingual teaching materials.
• Encourage the use of English during daily routines.
• Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety.
• Support hygiene and feeding habits.
• Maintain classroom order and cleanliness.
• Help with basic record‑keeping and school events.
• Facilitate communication with parents.

Required profile

• Technical training or current studies in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of a high school diploma.
• Intermediate English proficiency (B1‑B2 level) and strong Spanish skills.
• Previous experience working with young children (desirable).
• Basic knowledge of child development and first aid (desirable).
