French Teacher (Secondary School)

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic French Teacher for secondary school students to deliver comprehensive language instruction and promote Francophone culture. The role involves designing curriculum‑aligned lessons, integrating modern methodologies, and supporting students in a bilingual English‑Spanish environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum, covering listening, speaking, reading and writing.
• Develop teaching units, projects and resources that foster meaningful French language acquisition.
• Apply active, differentiated methodologies to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
• Incorporate Francophone cultural content to enrich students’ appreciation of French‑speaking societies.
• Utilize digital tools and educational platforms to enhance language learning.
• Create and administer formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance and academic performance.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents and guardians regarding progress.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development and school events.
• Uphold child protection, safeguarding and inclusive classroom policies.

Required profile

• Advanced oral and written proficiency in French (C1+ level).
• Strong knowledge of Francophone grammar, phonetics, vocabulary and culture.
• Familiarity with modern foreign‑language teaching methodologies.
• Ability to design curriculum and educational plans.
• Experience with competency‑based assessment and feedback.
• Effective classroom management and positive discipline techniques.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional integrity.
