Power BI Developer

About the role

UST is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions remotely from Costa Rica. The role involves transforming complex datasets into actionable insights for business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Develop and optimise complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures.
• Create and maintain data models, measures, and calculations using DAX.
• Perform ETL activities and ensure data accuracy and performance.
• Troubleshoot report issues and provide ongoing support.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in Power BI development.
• Strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and dashboard design.
• Advanced SQL skills with query optimisation experience.
• Understanding of data modelling concepts such as star and snowflake schemas.
• Experience with ETL processes, data integration and data warehousing.
• Ability to work with large‑scale datasets and perform performance tuning.
