Power Automate Developer

About the role

We are looking for a senior Power Automate Developer to join UST’s data engineering team in Costa Rica. The role is hybrid and focuses on building and maintaining advanced Power BI solutions, automating data flows, and integrating with modern data lake platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain complex Power BI reports, dashboards and data models.
• Architect and implement data pipelines using Power Automate, Databricks, Dataflows and ETL processes.
• Migrate existing Informatica, Cognos and data‑warehouse solutions to a Databricks‑based lake with Unity Catalog.
• Write advanced DAX calculations, create nested semantic models and manage premium capacity and gateway configurations.
• Define monitoring and KPI tracking to meet SLA requirements for data products.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts and business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable insights.
• Maintain modular code in Git and apply DevOps best practices for multi‑developer environments.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with Microsoft Power BI and Power Automate.
• Strong background in data engineering, data lake and data warehouse architectures.
• Proven ability to design scalable data pipelines and advanced data models.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and teamwork skills.
