Plant Maintenance Mechanic II

About the role

Medtronic is seeking a Plant Maintenance Mechanic II to join its manufacturing team. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and repairing line equipment in a medical device production environment, ensuring high reliability and compliance with quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, routine maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing and plant equipment.
• Locate and diagnose equipment failures, replace defective components, and conduct basic troubleshooting using drawings, diagrams, and manuals.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair logs.
• Utilize a variety of hand, power, and test tools to service equipment.
• Redesign optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for integration with existing equipment when required.
• Estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical education in mechanics, electronics, electromechanics, industrial electronics, or mechatronics is preferred.
• Basic proficiency in English.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and material specifications.

Required skills

• Lathe and conventional milling operation.
• Industrial mechanics and precision mechanics.
• Electronics, electromechanics, and mechatronics knowledge.
• Interpretation of mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Use of Microsoft Office suite.
• Hands‑on experience with hand, power, and test tools.
