Payroll Time Benefits Lead

About the role

The Payroll Time Benefits Lead will head the Payroll, Time & Benefits Operations team, ensuring end‑to‑end service delivery that meets key performance indicators and regulatory requirements. This role combines people leadership with process optimisation, data‑driven insights, and cross‑functional collaboration to support Roche’s People Support Solutions strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the Payroll, Time & Benefits team in line with Roche leadership commitments and people practices.
• Ensure high‑quality, compliant service delivery for payroll, time and benefits, meeting KPIs/SLAs and regulatory standards.
• Oversee end‑to‑end operations, resource allocation, work plans and audit standard work instructions.
• Drive continuous improvement through standardisation, automation and simplification initiatives based on performance data and stakeholder feedback.
• Leverage data analytics and reporting on customer queries to generate insights for policy and program design.
• Manage relationships and performance with external vendors.
• Participate in global squads and projects to align services with the overall People Support Solutions vision.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading payroll, time and benefits operations in a large, global organisation.
• Strong people‑management skills with a focus on engagement, talent development and succession planning.
• Ability to foster a safe, trusting culture and promote a growth‑mindset.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across regional and global teams.
• Track record of delivering compliant, KPI‑driven services and driving process excellence.
