Payroll Coordinator (Remote)

About the role

Beyondsoft, a mid-sized business IT and consulting company with offices across four continents, is looking for a Payroll Coordinator to work remotely. The position reports to the Payroll Manager in the USA and focuses on accurate, timely multi-state payroll processing and good customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time
• Enter salary adjustments, commissions, bonuses, vacation and sick pay data
• Review computed wages, correct errors and ensure payroll changes are processed correctly
• Handle wage garnishments, pay levies and other court-ordered payments, including reporting to the relevant state office
• Answer employee payroll questions and explain company payroll policies
• Support employee onboarding and status changes such as new hires, salary changes, classifications and terminations
• Maintain employee files in SharePoint/Cloud
• Work with Human Resources and Accounting on payroll-related financial analysis
• Identify ways to automate processes and perform quarterly deduction audits

Required profile

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field
• 2+ years of payroll processing experience
• Customer-service commitment, strong ownership, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication, prioritization and confidentiality
• Very detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel
• ADP Workforce Now (WFN) experience preferred
• Familiarity with federal and state labor leave laws, especially California, preferred
