Pastry Cook III

About the role

Four Seasons Resort Peninsula Papagayo is seeking a Pastry Cook III to join its culinary team. This position supports the resort’s five dining venues, delivering high‑quality pastries, desserts and baked goods that reflect the brand’s luxury standards and the local Costa Rican flavors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and execute a wide range of pastries, desserts, breads and specialty baked items for breakfast, lunch, dinner and special events.
• Maintain consistency, taste, presentation and portion control in all pastry productions.
• Collaborate with the executive pastry chef and kitchen staff to develop seasonal menus and special occasion desserts.
• Ensure all food safety, sanitation and hygiene standards are strictly followed.
• Manage inventory of pastry ingredients, place orders as needed and minimize waste.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a high‑end hotel or resort pastry operation, preferably at a senior or lead level.
• Strong understanding of classic and contemporary pastry techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
