About the role
CooperSurgical is seeking an Operations Training Manager to lead regulatory and operational training across its manufacturing value streams. The role ensures that all employees receive the right training to meet quality and compliance standards in the medical device industry.
Key responsibilities
- Identify regulatory training and certification requirements for each plant position according to the Quality Manual.
- Manage Training Coordinators for each value stream, guiding the design, development, coordination and delivery of standardized training programs.
- Participate in onboarding, delivering required regulatory training during new‑employee induction.
- Select and apply effective adult‑learning methods such as simulations, mentoring, on‑the‑job training and classroom sessions.
- Design and produce educational aids and training materials.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and its impact on employee performance and key KPIs.
- Maintain in‑house training facilities and equipment.
- Ensure Training Coordinators are certified before performing their duties and organize train‑the‑trainer sessions.
- Track certification documentation and collaborate with quality supervisors for priority management.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management.
Required profile
- University degree in Industrial Engineering, Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in training systems within the medical industry.
- Prior supervisory experience with strong leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations and ISO standards.
- Ability to interpret technical documents such as drawings, SOPs and manuals.
- Problem‑solving orientation and strong communication skills in both Spanish and English.
