Molding Process Technician 2 – Injection Molding

About the role

The Molding Process Technician 2 is responsible for starting up, operating, and troubleshooting thermoplastic and LSR injection molding equipment to fulfil work orders. You will work on the shop floor, ensuring production runs smoothly while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Start up, clean, and operate thermoplastic and LSR injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Assist in mold setup, validation, and troubleshooting to keep processes running efficiently.
• Apply advanced knowledge of plastic and silicone transformation processes and use Lean tools to improve operations.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety standards.
• Provide operational support to Manufacturing Engineers/Managers, including training technicians, reporting, validation activities, and root‑cause analysis of defects.

Required profile

• High school diploma (9th grade) required; Plastic Process Technician certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a molding technician.
• Knowledge of safety practices and standards.
• Experience in medical manufacturing environments preferred.
• Basic English and computer skills (Word, Excel) preferred, with ability to self‑train.
