Microbiology Quality Lab Analyst 2

About the role

The Microbiology Quality Lab Analyst 2 is responsible for executing a range of microbiological tests to ensure manufactured items meet required standards. This on‑site position works within Philips' microbiology laboratory, following strict quality and safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine environmental monitoring, non‑viable monitoring, product and water bioburden, bacterial endotoxin testing, compressed dry air testing, and biological indicator testing.
• Identify microorganisms, calculate trending and alert levels, and manage 6S laboratory cleanliness including equipment cleaning.
• Execute sterilization, depyrogenation cycles for BET, maintain controlled records, and update inventory and supplier quotations.
• Investigate out‑of‑specification results and lead improvement projects within the lab.

Required profile

• Microbiology Technician or Clinical Chemistry degree.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the medical‑device industry or a microbiology laboratory.
• Intermediate English proficiency (written and spoken).

Required skills

• Aseptic technique.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
