Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) Oncology

About the role

The Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) Oncology will act as a trusted scientific partner within the healthcare ecosystem, providing high‑quality medical and scientific expertise through in‑depth discussions and evidence‑based exchange with healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of oncology therapeutic area, AstraZeneca products, competitor landscape and emerging scientific trends.
• Build and strengthen strategic partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders, healthcare professionals, advocacy groups and influence networks at national, regional and local levels.
• Conduct scientific interactions to exchange clinical evidence, support publications and develop scientific materials.
• Respond to unsolicited medical information requests on unapproved products or uses in a balanced, non‑promotional manner.
• Manage medical information request processes in line with local regulations and internal standards.
• Facilitate continuous medical education activities and scientific engagement initiatives for healthcare professionals.
• Support implementation of Risk Minimization Plans and other Medical Affairs strategic initiatives.
• Participate in scientific congresses, meetings and internal learning sessions.
• Generate and share medical insights from the field to inform local medical landscapes and unmet needs.
• Assist pre‑launch activities for new therapeutic areas, products and line extensions.

Required profile

• Strong scientific background in oncology and medical affairs.
• Ability to discuss clinical evidence and emerging treatment trends with healthcare professionals.
• Experience building relationships with KOLs and other external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of medical information request processes and regulatory requirements.
