About the role
This contract position focuses on solving and validating aerodynamic and fluid‑dynamics problems for a remote engineering team.
Key responsibilities
- Translate physical requirements into computational models and solver‑ready cases.
- Create or modify geometries, computational domains, and meshes.
- Run CFD and aerodynamic‑analysis workflows using command‑line tools.
- Automate preprocessing, simulation execution, parameter sweeps, post‑processing, and validation with Python.
- Review AI‑generated engineering solutions and flag incorrect assumptions or unrealistic outputs.
Required profile
- MS or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with an aerodynamics, fluid dynamics, or thermofluids specialization.
- Strong understanding of fluid mechanics and applied aerodynamics, with experience formulating and executing CFD or aerodynamic analyses.
Required skills
- Python programming.
- Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools.
- Command‑line interface (CLI) or scripting‑enabled engineering software.
