Maintenance Technician

About the role

Greif is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join its team in San Jose. The role involves planning and executing maintenance activities to ensure reliable operation of manufacturing equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate corrective, preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance tasks.
• Use hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and electrical testing devices to assemble, install, or repair mechanical and electrical machinery.
• Diagnose issues using diagrams, manuals, and engineering specifications, and collaborate with colleagues to complete work orders promptly.
• Manage spare parts inventory, support root‑cause problem solving, and contribute to continuous improvement programs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent plus a technical certificate.
• 3‑6 years of relevant maintenance experience, preferably in high‑volume manufacturing.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and electrical testing devices.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, manuals, and measurement tools.
• Experience with complex troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment.
• Competent use of Microsoft Office suite.
