Maintenance Manager – Costa Rica

About the role
We are seeking a highly driven Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance operations of automotive equipment, towing equipment, and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) across Juan Santamaría and Daniel Oduber Airports. This position requires a hands‑on leader with strong technical expertise, an operational vision, and a continuous‑improvement mindset.
Key responsibilities
- Lead preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all GSE and operational equipment.
- Ensure reliability and availability of equipment to support airport operations.
- Manage technical teams, schedules, overtime, and workshop activities.
- Control maintenance costs, budgets, and supplier relationships.
- Monitor KPIs and prepare management and regional reports.
- Drive process improvements and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with QHSE standards, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISAGO requirements.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Bilingual English‑Spanish (mandatory).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive equipment, heavy machinery, or GSE maintenance.
- Previous leadership experience managing technical teams.
- Experience in aviation, logistics, transportation, or high‑demand operational environments is highly desirable.
