Maintenance Manager – Costa Rica

About the role

We are seeking a highly driven Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance operations of automotive equipment, towing equipment, and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) across Juan Santamaría and Daniel Oduber Airports. This position requires a hands‑on leader with strong technical expertise, an operational vision, and a continuous‑improvement mindset.

Key responsibilities

• Lead preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all GSE and operational equipment.
• Ensure reliability and availability of equipment to support airport operations.
• Manage technical teams, schedules, overtime, and workshop activities.
• Control maintenance costs, budgets, and supplier relationships.
• Monitor KPIs and prepare management and regional reports.
• Drive process improvements and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with QHSE standards, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISAGO requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Bilingual English‑Spanish (mandatory).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive equipment, heavy machinery, or GSE maintenance.
• Previous leadership experience managing technical teams.
• Experience in aviation, logistics, transportation, or high‑demand operational environments is highly desirable.
