Legal Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Remote Legal Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. You will work 10‑40 hours per week, providing expert legal analysis and guidance on a variety of commercial and regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and redline commercial contracts to ensure legal accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
• Provide counsel on employment law, structured finance, private equity transactions, and mergers & acquisitions.
• Evaluate SaaS Master Service Agreements (MSAs), identify risk areas, and recommend improvements.
• Interpret complex regulatory requirements and develop compliance guidelines.
• Assess data‑privacy policies against international standards and advise on necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate legal concepts into clear, actionable written feedback.

Required profile

• Active Bar membership in good standing.
• Proven experience practicing law with a focus on commercial contracts, employment law, and structured finance.
• Deep knowledge of private equity, M&A, and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to redline and negotiate contracts with meticulous attention to detail.
• Hands‑on experience reviewing SaaS MSAs and handling data‑privacy matters.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of simplifying complex legal issues for diverse audiences.
