Legal Counsel – Remote Contract Role

About the role

This remote position is for an experienced Legal Counsel who will act as General Counsel on a contract basis. You will support the creation and refinement of contract negotiation playbooks and ensure commercial agreements meet high standards of clarity, precision, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Create, review, and improve contract negotiation playbooks tailored to diverse scenarios and company needs.
• Draft, analyze, and annotate a variety of commercial agreements, ensuring they align with relevant standards.
• Provide expert commentary on best practices for contract management and negotiation strategies.
• Curate and supply non‑confidential transaction materials to support project documentation and AI‑training objectives.
• Evaluate existing contract templates, identifying opportunities to boost efficiency and mitigate risk.
• Collaborate with the micro1 team to ensure materials meet project guidelines.
• Deliver high‑quality written and verbal feedback to enhance system understanding and output.

Required profile

• Current or prior experience as General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, or Assistant General Counsel with a focus on contract negotiation playbooks.
• Proven expertise in drafting, negotiating, and managing commercial contracts in corporate environments.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Solid knowledge of industry‑standard practices for contract review and risk assessment.
• Experience developing or using contract negotiation playbooks for companies.
• Familiarity with document‑driven project assignments, including sourcing and submitting eligible materials.
• Ability to work independently and provide concise, actionable insights for AI training.
