About the role
Amazon is seeking a Contract Leave of Absence (LOA) Case Manager to join the Disability & Leave Services team. In this 11‑month role you will be the single point of contact for employees navigating leave of absence, disability, and accommodation events, ensuring a smooth, compliant, and supportive experience.
Key responsibilities
- Initiate and respond to employee inquiries about leave, disability events, benefits, and options.
- Provide holistic case management, reviewing medical documentation and adjudicating leaves in line with Amazon policies, federal and state regulations.
- Adjust case plans as employee needs evolve and troubleshoot issues throughout the leave lifecycle.
- Facilitate return‑to‑work and ramp‑back plans, coordinating with managers and business partners.
- Maintain accurate system records and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with third‑party administrators, HR, Safety, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and other stakeholders.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field, or high school equivalent.
- At least 1 year of customer‑service experience.
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Word.
