About the role

World Wide Technology is seeking an experienced L3/L4 Cloud Azure Support Engineer to join its Solutions Consulting & Engineering team. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of Azure environments for enterprise customers in a 24x7 support model.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor, manage, and maintain day‑to‑day operations of Azure IaaS and PaaS services, guaranteeing high availability.
  • Respond to alerts, incidents, and service requests, participating in on‑call rotations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex Azure infrastructure and platform issues.
  • Act as escalation point for Priority 1 incidents, driving end‑to‑end resolution and performing root‑cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with Microsoft support and third‑party vendors to resolve platform problems.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine tasks, deployments, and remediation.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Define and enforce Azure Policy, RBAC, and tagging standards to support governance and compliance.
  • Provide recommendations to improve security posture, including Azure Defender configurations.

Required profile

  • Proven experience operating Azure environments in a production, 24x7 support setting.
  • Strong incident‑management skills with a track record of handling high‑severity issues.
  • Ability to perform thorough root‑cause analysis and document findings.
  • Excellent collaboration skills for working with Microsoft and external vendors.
  • Comfort with on‑call rotations and fast‑paced problem solving.
