Kitchen Supervisor – Fine Dining Restaurant

About the role

Arbol Restaurant, a fine‑dining venue inside the boutique Hotel Makanda, is looking for a hands‑on Kitchen Supervisor to keep daily kitchen operations running smoothly. You will work closely with the Head Chef and the culinary team to deliver high‑quality dishes in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day kitchen activities, ensuring seamless service during each shift.
• Monitor food preparation and presentation to uphold the restaurant’s quality standards.
• Coordinate staff schedules, assign tasks, and manage workflow on the floor.
• Enforce hygiene, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Assist with inventory control, stock rotation, and ordering of supplies.
• Support the Head Chef in training, coaching, and supervising kitchen personnel.
• Identify and resolve operational issues quickly to minimise service disruptions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Kitchen Supervisor, Sous Chef, or a similar role in a high‑end restaurant.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities in a high‑pressure setting.
• Solid knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Good leadership and communication skills.
• Culinary training or certification is a plus.
