Intermediate Applications Development Programmer Analyst

About the role

The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst works with the Technology team to design, develop, and maintain new or revised application systems. The role focuses on system enhancements, code analysis, and providing technical guidance to junior analysts.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and define system enhancements using script tools and code analysis.
• Consult with users, clients, and technology groups to recommend and implement programming solutions.
• Design specifications using fundamental programming knowledge.
• Analyze applications for vulnerabilities, conduct testing, and debug issues.
• Coach and advise lower‑level analysts.
• Make evaluative judgments to recommend and implement solutions with limited supervision.
• Assess risk and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and corporate policies.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in financial services applications development.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage changing requirements.
