Instructional Designer

About the role

JLL is hiring an Instructional Designer in San Jose, on site. You will create learning experiences for a global workforce, partnering with business leaders and subject matter experts to design eLearning courses, instructor-led training, documentation, handbooks and how-to guides. The role applies adult learning principles and builds out the training backlog by converting existing materials and developing new, role-specific content.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop eLearning courses with authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate or similar.
• Create instructor-led training materials: facilitator guides, participant workbooks, presentation decks and hands-on activities.
• Write documentation such as handbooks, quick reference guides, how-to guides and job aids.
• Conduct gap analyses and run content-gathering workshops with subject matter experts.
• Build and manage training backlogs, from light-lift conversions to complex role-based learning paths.
• Develop multimedia assets including interactive scenarios, assessments, videos and simulations.
• Gather stakeholder feedback and refine learning experiences.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Learning Sciences or a related field.
• 3+ years designing learning content (eLearning, instructor-led training, documentation) for corporate environments.
• Gap analysis and workshop facilitation experience.
• Experience writing scripts, guides, handbooks and how-to documentation.
• Preferred: Master's degree, real estate or professional services experience, multimedia production and learning analytics experience.

• LMS and SCORM standards
• Project management and backlog prioritization
• Preferred: Adobe Creative Suite, xAPI, microlearning and ATD/eLearning Guild certification
