Human Resources Specialist

About the role

The Human Resources Specialist provides essential administrative support to the HR team at TransPerfect Connect, a provider of language services and technology solutions. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality customer service to employees, supervisors and senior management across all HR functions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage onboarding for all U.S. employees and conduct new‑hire orientation.
• Maintain personnel records and update the HRIS (Workday) with accurate data.
• Generate scheduled reports and respond to ad‑hoc data requests.
• Coordinate with Payroll and Benefits to prepare payroll close data and timecard adjustments.
• Liaise with Recruitment to ensure smooth transition from pre‑hire to hire.
• Handle unemployment claims, employee verification requests, and open enrollment logistics.
• Answer employee and supervisor inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and HR processes.
• Prepare and distribute paychecks, and support special HR projects as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent HR experience.
• 0‑1 years of experience in an HR environment or recent graduate.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with high attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Self‑motivated, able to multitask and work calmly under pressure.
