HR Business Partner

About the role

Coloplast’s Business Centre in San José is looking for an HR Business Partner to work closely with business leaders. The role blends strategic partnership with hands‑on HR guidance to drive performance, engagement and a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary People & Culture advisor, supporting leaders on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning and leadership development.
• Coach managers on performance management, employee relations, attendance, conflict resolution and other complex employee matters.
• Partner with leaders to identify talent needs, succession plans, development opportunities and retention strategies.
• Support performance and talent management processes, including calibration discussions and development planning.
• Advise on compensation, recognition and workforce‑related decisions within company frameworks.
• Drive employee engagement, wellbeing, inclusion and culture initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
• Provide change‑management support during transformations and business initiatives.
• Analyze people data and trends to identify risks, deliver insights and recommend actions to leadership.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Reward, Legal, Finance and global HR teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Ensure compliance with employment practices, company policies and HR governance standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field; advanced studies are a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, including HR Business Partnering, Employee Relations, Talent Management or Organizational Development.
• Proven experience advising leaders and handling complex employee and organizational matters.
• Strong knowledge of Costa Rican labor practices and employment regulations.
• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
