General Ledger Senior Accountant

About the role

The General Ledger Senior Accountant supports multiple business units and legal entities by managing month‑end journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting. Reporting to a Team Leader, the role requires close interaction with internal and external stakeholders, including a third‑party accounting team overseas.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, post, and review monthly journal entries across several ERP systems.
• Develop and execute complex balance‑sheet reconciliations and quarterly flux analysis.
• Lead the preparation of tax package schedules and year‑end reporting for various companies.
• Participate in SOX testing, internal/external audits, and special projects.
• Integrate accounting processes from acquired entities into existing workflows.
• Identify and implement GL process improvements while ensuring compliance with internal audit and Sarbanes‑Oxley controls.

Required profile

• BS/BA in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 3 + years of general accounting experience, including GL responsibilities.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and lead project teams.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with senior management and cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with multiple ERP systems.
• In‑depth knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance.
• Experience with intercompany transactions and invoicing.
• Advanced balance‑sheet analysis and tax‑schedule preparation.
• Audit support and internal control documentation.
