Full Stack Software Developer

About the role

As a Full Stack Software Developer at PriceSmart, you will design, build, and maintain both front‑end and back‑end components of enterprise‑level retail applications. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver seamless, omnichannel shopping experiences using modern development practices and Agile methodologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain front‑end interfaces using frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs, integrating with microservices and cloud‑based infrastructure.
• Write clean, well‑tested, maintainable code following coding standards and Agile best practices.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product owners, QA, and other developers to translate requirements into functional solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across the full application stack; participate in code reviews.
• Support integration of omnichannel solutions to ensure a cohesive user experience.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools, AI APIs, and responsible AI practices.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of full‑stack software development experience.
• Proficiency with modern front‑end frameworks and languages (React, Angular, Vue, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Experience with server‑side languages and frameworks (Java, Python, Node.js) and building RESTful APIs.
• Working knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum practices and ability to write unit and integration tests.
• Familiarity with AI tools, AI‑assisted coding, and data‑privacy considerations.
