Power Platform Automation Developer

About the role

Emerson is hiring an Automation Developer specialized in Power Platform. You will analyze, design, develop, implement and support SharePoint Online applications and business process automations, working with functional users and technical teams to deliver scalable solutions with Power Automate, Power Apps and Copilot Studio. You will also share knowledge through documented specifications, demonstrations and verbal communication.

Key responsibilities

• Work with functional and technical colleagues to understand requirements and provide scalable designs and solutions, and with business managers and IT leaders to understand project delivery expectations.
• Design, develop and maintain SharePoint out-of-the-box and Power Platform solutions, including Power Automate flows, Power Apps (canvas and model-driven) and Copilot Studio agents.
• Plan and deliver work in sprints and iterations following Scrum and Agile principles, and define and improve processes to increase system performance and efficiency.
• Analyze technologies and processes, document findings, create specifications and implement them; document all technical deliverables including user manuals and best practices.
• Follow Power Platform governance and ALM practices, including environment strategy, solution packaging and deployment across development, test and production.
• Integrate Power Platform solutions with external systems and APIs using connectors, custom connectors and Dataverse.
• Review solutions built by others, mentor junior team members, and support and troubleshoot production automations within agreed SLAs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from a recognized, accredited university or institution.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience developing applications on SharePoint Online, Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Fluent English (evaluated verbally).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to document solutions clearly for technical and non-technical audiences.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with Power Automate (Microsoft Flow) and Power Apps.
• SQL queries, views and stored procedures.
• SharePoint Online out-of-the-box features: lists, libraries, workflows, web parts, master pages and permissions.
• APIs and connectors (REST, JSON, OAuth).
• Scrum or Agile project delivery, including sprint planning and backlog management.
• Copilot Studio or strong ability to ramp up quickly on AI agent solutions.
• Preferred: Power BI, Power Automate Desktop, Microsoft 365, Azure, SPFx, SAFe, ITIL, and Microsoft certifications (e.g., Power Platform Fundamentals, App Maker Associate, Developer Associate).
