Front Desk Receptionist

About the role

The Front Desk Receptionist welcomes guests to the property and provides an exceptional guest experience at check-in, during the stay and on departure. The role covers arrivals and departures, responds to a wide range of guest requests, assesses guest needs, adds personal recommendations and aligns with Four Seasons service standards. It is part of the Front Desk and reports to the Front Desk Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible
• Assist guests with inquiries about hotel services, operating hours, key hotel personnel, in-house events and directions
• Respond to all guest requests accurately and in a timely manner, both in person and by phone
• Resolve guest complaints and find opportunities to personalize the service experience for every guest

Required profile

• Legal permit to work in Costa Rica
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, cross-cultural sensitivity and a customer-service orientation
• Guest-centred approach and understanding of guests' preferences
• Fluency in English and Spanish, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• One year of experience in a luxury hotel or similar environment is considered an asset
