Financial Reporting Manager – Global Nonprofit

About the role

The Financial Reporting Manager will lead financial reporting, budgeting, audit coordination, and analysis for a multinational nonprofit with a $15 million annual budget. This role ensures accurate, transparent financial information to support strategic decisions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and own monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements, including revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and net asset reporting.
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting, monitor budget performance, and develop cash‑flow and liquidity models.
• Coordinate external audit activities, prepare schedules and documentation, and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP (ASC 958) and donor requirements.
• Evaluate and strengthen internal controls, identify automation opportunities, and participate in finance transformation initiatives.
• Partner with regional finance teams, review local statements, and assist with global consolidation and payroll support.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, FP&A, audit, or controllership within multi‑entity environments.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, especially ASC 958 for nonprofit accounting.
• Professional fluency in English (written and verbal).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA, CMA, ACCA or similar certification preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, financial modeling).
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or similar.
• Preparation of consolidated financial statements and variance analysis.
• Audit coordination and internal control evaluation.
