About the role
BCG Nexus Costa Rica is building a high‑performing finance team to support its regional operations. As a Finance Specialist – Local Accounting you will ensure the integrity of financial reporting and provide reliable accounting services for the office.
Key responsibilities
- Support vendor management and onboarding processes, coordinating with the India team to resolve outstanding issues.
- Review, code, and process office invoices in line with BCG cost‑coding guidelines.
- Classify capital expenditures in the Oracle Fixed Asset System.
- Respond to email inquiries from local offices, other departments, and vendors, offering accurate accounting guidance.
- Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Research SAP and Coupa reports to address accounting and accounts‑payable issues.
- Maintain communication with local staff regarding receipts and supporting documentation.
- Ensure accurate expense reimbursement accounting, post journal entries, and clear reconciling items in AP.
- Process weekly payment runs and archive related documentation.
Required profile
- Experience in local accounting or finance support within a multinational environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes and controls.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external vendors.
