Finance Assistant

About the role

The Finance Assistant supports the finance and accounting department by handling day‑to‑day financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with reporting and audit activities. This entry‑level position is ideal for candidates who are detail‑oriented and eager to develop a career in finance.

Key responsibilities

• Enter financial data and perform general bookkeeping tasks.
• Update and maintain financial records, spreadsheets, and daily transaction logs.
• Prepare receipts, vouchers, invoices, and other supporting documents for entry into ledgers.
• Track and reconcile bank statements and process bank transfer requests.
• Process tax payments and manage accounts payable/receivable.
• Follow up with clients, suppliers, and partners on invoice status.
• Provide administrative support during budget preparation and participate in audits as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED minimum; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in a finance or accounting support role.
• Strong organizational, time‑management, and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Professional demeanor with excellent customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while upholding company ethics.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets, financial functions).
• Familiarity with accounting software.
