Endpoint Systems Engineer

About the role

World Fuel is looking for an Endpoint Systems Engineer to join its global IT Infrastructure team in San José, Costa Rica. The role helps design, build, automate and support modern endpoint management solutions across Windows, macOS, mobile devices and cloud-based desktop platforms. It suits someone passionate about endpoint engineering, automation, cloud technologies and device management.

Key responsibilities

• Engineer, deploy and support endpoint management solutions across Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and virtual desktop environments
• Administer and enhance Microsoft Intune and Jamf Pro, and build device management policies, compliance controls and configuration standards
• Support device provisioning with Windows Autopilot, Apple Business Manager and related technologies
• Design and support Windows 365 Cloud PC environments, manage provisioning, lifecycle, policies and performance, and support virtualization and desktop delivery platforms
• Develop automation with PowerShell, Python, Bash, APIs and Infrastructure as Code, and build repeatable deployment frameworks
• Maintain application deployment and software packaging processes
• Implement endpoint security, compliance and device protection standards, support Zero Trust and monitor health, patches and performance
• Troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, write technical documentation and collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, Service Desk and Operations teams

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in endpoint engineering, systems engineering, infrastructure, workplace technology or a related IT discipline
• Hands-on administration of Microsoft Intune and Jamf Pro
• Experience with application packaging, software deployment and endpoint lifecycle management
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; equivalent education and experience also considered

Required skills

• Enterprise Windows and macOS administration
• PowerShell, Python, Bash or similar scripting and automation
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred: Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, VMware Horizon, Citrix, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Intune automation and Jamf API integrations, Git workflows, Windows Autopilot, Microsoft Autopatch, Apple Business Manager, endpoint security and Zero Trust practices, and relevant certifications.
