Elixir Backend Engineer (Remote, Latin America)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Elixir Backend Engineer to join our talent network and work remotely with U.S. clients on project‑based assignments. You will become an integral part of the client’s engineering team, collaborating daily with designers and developers to deliver high‑performance backend services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs using Elixir and the Phoenix framework.
• Build and optimize backend services that power mobile applications, particularly React Native apps.
• Integrate third‑party APIs and ensure reliable connectivity.
• Work with legacy codebases, improving reliability and maintainability.
• Write automated tests and uphold code quality standards.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerize applications with Docker, and use modern development environments such as GitHub Codespaces.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven production experience with Elixir and Phoenix.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Completed a four‑year college degree.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to take ownership of your work.
