EDM Specialist – Precision Mold Maintenance

About the role

Freudenberg Medical is seeking an experienced EDM Specialist to support our injection mold maintenance and precision machining operations. You will work on a diverse range of medical device molds, ensuring they are ready for high‑volume production while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and adjust injection molds and hot‑runner hardware.
• Set up, program, and operate Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment, including electrode preparation and burn‑sequence planning.
• Design and construct manufacturing and quality fixtures for mold and EDM work.
• Document all work orders in ERP for full traceability and maintain 5S standards.
• Support mold acceptance checks, post‑run reviews, and preventive‑maintenance analysis.
• Transport, store, and manage molds and associated hose kits safely.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with injection mold maintenance and EDM operations.
• Ability to read blueprints and apply basic GD&T concepts.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and housekeeping.
• Proactive communication with supervisors for issues beyond scope.
