Director of IT and Security

About the role

SweetRush is seeking a senior leader to shape and execute its IT and security strategy. Reporting to executive leadership, the Director will ensure technology initiatives align with business goals while safeguarding data integrity and system availability across a remote‑first organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a forward‑looking IT and security roadmap that supports SweetRush’s growth and impact.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to identify technology needs, set KPIs, and define service level agreements.
• Lead, mentor, and grow the IT and security team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, ensuring they meet scope, timeline, and budget constraints.
• Establish and enforce security governance, including access controls, monitoring, incident response, and compliance with relevant standards.
• Manage the IT budget, negotiate vendor contracts, and drive cost‑effective technology investments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior IT leadership roles, preferably within a remote or distributed environment.
• Strong strategic thinking with a track record of aligning technology initiatives to business objectives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build high‑performing teams and drive cultural change.
