Data Engineer – Build Scalable Data Pipelines

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure that support our data platform initiatives. The role involves close collaboration with cross‑functional teams to ensure data availability, reliability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise end‑to‑end data pipelines for ingesting, processing and transforming large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
• Develop robust ETL processes and data validation checks to integrate data from diverse sources.
• Create and maintain data models, schemas and database structures for analytical and operational use cases.
• Evaluate and implement storage solutions such as relational databases, NoSQL, data lakes and cloud storage services.
• Build and maintain integrations with internal and external APIs and ensure system interoperability.
• Configure and manage data infrastructure components, monitor performance and apply optimisations.
• Implement data security controls and access‑management policies.
• Document technical designs, workflows and best practices and provide guidance to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
• Proven experience in data engineering or software development.
• Strong knowledge of database systems, data modelling techniques and SQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms and data orchestration tools.
