Construction Project Manager – On-site, Santa Teresa

About the role

Utopia is seeking a detail‑oriented Construction Project Manager to lead on‑site execution of boutique hospitality projects in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. You will oversee the full construction lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and monitor construction activities from inception to handover.
• Coordinate daily with architects, engineers, contractors and the FF&E procurement team.
• Manage contractor performance, enforce contract terms and resolve on‑site issues.
• Support procurement by obtaining quotes, negotiating with suppliers and tracking deliveries.
• Track project budgets, control costs and report financial status regularly.
• Identify risks, implement mitigation measures and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Required profile

• Fluent English with strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Proven experience managing construction projects, preferably in hospitality or luxury real‑estate.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of procurement, tender management and contract administration.
• Proactive problem‑solver comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
