Cloud Architect (Hybrid) – Costa Rica

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Architect to join our team in Costa Rica on a hybrid basis. You will work closely with customer application teams, providing architecture consulting, governance, and technical guidance across Azure and related Microsoft cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct architecture reviews, create artifacts, and document cloud deployment designs.
• Assist application teams with risk assessments, cloud service vetting, and complex issue resolution.
• Develop new solutions, perform proof‑of‑concepts, and drive cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Design detailed implementation roadmaps for IaaS and PaaS environments, including DR, migration, and Azure Site Recovery.
• Evaluate high‑level migration costs and recommend appropriate VM sizing and Azure services.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Azure platform services (SQL, Web Apps, Application Gateway, CDN, AD, Virtual Networks, VPN, ExpressRoute).
• Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools and scripting (JSON templates, PowerShell, Visual Studio).
• Familiarity with Linux, Chef, Puppet, and open‑source technologies in Azure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to translate technical solutions into business value.
