Senior .NET Developer – Lead Software Engineer

About the role

TransUnion’s DHI Information Technology Online Scrum Team is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to lead development of secure, enterprise‑grade software that powers digital insurance and telematics solutions. This remote role collaborates with product, insurance and project management stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable applications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development of core DHI applications and the new TransUnion Telematics project, guiding architecture and delivery planning.
• Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain secure .NET applications using modern engineering practices.
• Partner with senior leaders to define technical direction, align work with business outcomes, and prioritize initiatives.
• Build and support complex integrations with third‑party partners, ensuring reliability, performance and security.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, repeatable deployments and continuous security scanning.
• Apply a security‑first SDLC, using secure coding, vulnerability remediation and compliance standards.
• Research and recommend new technologies, tools and design approaches to improve productivity and cloud cost efficiency.
• Investigate and resolve software defects in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5–8 years of professional software development experience with the Microsoft .NET stack.
• Proven ability to translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications and deliver maintainable solutions.
• Experience troubleshooting production issues and supporting existing systems.
• Strong understanding of secure software development, sensitive data handling and regulatory compliance.
