Cloud Architect – Azure (Remote – Costa Rica)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Architect specialized in Microsoft Azure to join our team remotely from Costa Rica. The role involves designing, governing and optimizing Azure environments for our clients, ensuring scalability, security and cost‑effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Azure architecture guidance and enforce cloud governance standards.
• Conduct architecture reviews and produce technical documentation.
• Support cloud migration and modernization projects, including POCs.
• Resolve complex infrastructure issues and drive operational excellence.
• Develop cost‑optimization strategies and monitor cloud spend.
• Design highly available, secure and scalable Azure solutions.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture and infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure (IaaS & PaaS) and Azure networking.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure services such as SQL, Web Apps, Application Gateway, CDN and Azure AD.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting, JSON templates, Linux and Windows Server.
• Experience with configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet) and automation.
• Knowledge of Office 365, Exchange Online, Intune and Azure AD.
• Preferred certifications: AZ‑104, AZ‑305.
