Buyer/Planner – Supply Chain & Production Planning

About the role

Confluent Medical Technologies is seeking a Buyer/Planner to join its Costa Rica team. The role combines procurement, material planning, and production scheduling to ensure timely delivery of medical device components while balancing cost, quality, and inventory goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production plans and schedules based on capacity, material availability, and customer demand.
• Generate, adjust, and expedite purchase orders, monitoring supplier performance and communicating delays.
• Align materials management and production planning with sales, finance, and manufacturing using Epicor ERP, MRP, CRP, and advanced planning tools.
• Monitor production progress, analyze efficiency and utilization, and proactively address risks to delivery dates.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, obtain competitive bids, and support contract negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, BSI, and internal quality requirements, maintaining accurate master data and approved vendor lists.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in procurement, material planning, or production scheduling; medical‑device experience a plus.
• Advanced English proficiency (B2+).
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
